High Pressure Boiler Class

This class prepares learners to write the American Society of Power Engineers Facilities Operator Engineer Second Class License. (FOE2) To be eligible to write this test you must have at least six months to one year experience operating a boiler.

The subject matter in this class covers steam and water piping, fuels and combustion, boiler management control systems, superheaters, airheaters, testing for leaks, turbines – operation and maintenance, water treatment, generators, electrical distribution, EPA regulations, chillers, cooling towers, and heat flow rates.

The types of jobs available with this license are many. Hospitals use high pressure boilers, heating plants for universities, manufacturers use high pressure steam for a variety of processes. There is a strong need for power engineers now and in the future.

This class is a 3 hour class held one evening per week for 10 weeks. Cost: $450.00 which includes text books.
