Dear Union Brothers and Sisters:
Greetings! The Community Services Committee of the Milwaukee Area Labor Council AFL-CIO is proud to announce its 2018 partnership with St. Ben’s Community Meal Program which feeds the homeless and working poor on Sunday, June 24th 2018 at St. Benedict the Moor (St. Ben’s Church), 1015 North 9th Street (9th and State) beginning at 4:30 p.m.
In order to serve our 500 to 600 guests, we will need a large supply of brats, buns, beans, potato salad, hot dogs, fresh fruit, and dessert. The food will be purchased at a union grocery store and prepared by union members and volunteers. This means that we will need the support of organized labor to assist with cash donations and volunteers to help serve our guests.
We are requesting your financial donations, as soon as possible. Please make your charitable donation payable to the Labor Community@Work and send to 633 S. Hawley Road, Suite 110, Milwaukee, WI, 53214.
We are also asking for volunteers to assist in serving our guests, while wearing something that identifies you as a union Brother or Sister.
Please call Annie Wacker at (414) 771-7070 ext 15 or e-mail anniet@milwaukeelabor.org with any questions or to confirm your volunteer support. We would appreciate your response by June 15th, using the bottom portion of this letter or e-mail annie@milwaukeelabor.org We will keep you informed as we move forward.
