Power Plant Licensing Class


This class is for people who have 2 to 3 years experience operating high pressure boilers and accessories. The American Society of Power Engineers will proctor an appropriate level of Power plant licensing at the end of this 32-hour class.

The licenses that are available to test for are Power Plant Operating 3rd class, (PPO3), PPO2, and PPO1. Heating plants, Power plants, and paper mills are common places to work after receiving a Power Plant License, however there are many places in manufacturing and processing that use large boilers, turbines, and other accessories. (Think breweries, food processing, etc.)

This class is a 3 hour class held one evening per week for 10 weeks. Cost: $450.00 which includes books.
